Contemporary architectural construct by Gavin Maddock Design Studio, with vast open spaces, filled with natural light and most magnificent sea views. The Pearl – Bay residence is located on west coast, near Cape Town but with its white walls and textures, woven bamboo partitions and skylights it has a certain reminiscent of the Mediterranean. Nested between the dunes and bordering the nearby natural reserve this modernist building offers the fusion of spectacular natural views, contemporary art and classic comfort. Sea vacation time – in its full glory! The materials choice palette in combination whit bespoke furniture and refine textures carry a summer lightness, fresh and modern presence and sophisticated elegance.
Raw concrete slabs, stainless steel and granite tiles bring slightly industrial and modernistic atmosphere into the premise. Those polished and cold materials are cleverly balanced by white plaster walls; floors finished in wide board oak, stairs that combine the two trends. The comfortable, clear lines of the furnishing (the living area siting arrangement and tables are custom made and define the space) are enriched by the presents of substantial art pieces, natural light fabrics and the transparency of the clear glass used all around. The furnishing moves into the spectrum of comfortable modern-classic; the came goes for the materials used in the construct and decoration. Everything in this modern sea-beach villa is carefully measured, refine and elegant – the perfectly balanced summer experience.
