surprises us, again with this fresh design of modern urban home – Riba House. As in their previous projects, the designers demonstrate a “sweet spot” for multiple fresh green elements and this tendency becomes a special trademark and signature touch for the Studio. We can observe this green play all around – in the living room as vertical lines, part of the wooden cladding, as an artistic element framed in the hallway or as light ethereal plants decoration in the bedroom. Another distinctive trait for the designers from SVOYA is the presence of custom-made decorative and functional elements- always designed especially for the concrete project. In this case; the wooden and concrete sculptures at the entrance of the living area, the integrated greenery and of course the artistic fish print, so characteristic for SVOYA, this time as a design on the sofa cushions.
When it comes to the decoration and furnishing of living areas the functionality has a leading role- the open plan space combines kitchen, dining room and living quarters (with soft sitting and TV zone) all of which are stylishly and conceptually connected. Here, the space defining and leading visual element is the wooden cladding, with its green elements that is supplemented by the clean crispy presence of light and white textures. The wooden cladding has a significant presence at the elegant bedroom too, but here the green elements and the plant life – freely hanging from the ceiling – are the major visual elements that determinate the space character. Soft and unostentatious colors and forms define the space. The play of light and dark shades alternating in curtains, wall facing and carpets with graphic motifs complete the dynamic composition of this contemporary apartment.
